Most subcontract this to a web hosting company.

Setting up your website

When developing a website with our company you have four options to choose from to take your website 'live':

In option 1 and 2 - Wallaby Productions is not involved and all advise must be sought from the domain name register and web hosting company. The client will need to provide by email, in a timely manner the user-name, password and site hosting connection details. When these two options are chosen, there is no time is allocated for this service and if advice is sought it will be at additional cost.

In option 3 - The client will have to supply by email, in a timely manner, the registrar name and the login and password details they were supplied at the time of domain name registration. Wallaby Productions will arrange suitable hosting and domain name re-delegation. However, Wallaby Productions will not be liable for site downtime due to problems at the website hosting company. When choosing this option we do not allocate time in the job estimate for advice regarding domain name registration matters.

In option 4 - Wallaby Productions will manage all matters associated with the domain name registration and website hosting service. However, Wallaby Productions cannot be liable for site downtime due to problems at the website hosting company. The cost associated with the setting up of the domain name registration and website hosting will be included in the estimate when choosing this option. However you will need to pay for any setup and monthly hosting costs by direct arrangement with the third party provider.

We are fully able to advise and even undertake all work associated with domain name registration and website hosting if required. It is our preference to undertake all of this vital work in conjunction with you, as in option 3 or 4 above. Option 1 and 2 are often problematic and in our experience can result in additional charges to you.
